Beach Vacation

Over this memorial day weekend MIkey and I tagged alongwith my dad and family to go to the wonderful ocean in Santa Cruz. This was mikey's first time to the ocean so it was very fun to see his reaction to so much water. One of the videos that you will see is when mikey is running so fast and then a wave comes up and he looses blance and goes face first in the water. What you wont see is after when his face is covered in sand and he is screaming. He was okay and the sand eventaully came off. The whole weekend he was covered in sand so I guess it didn't matter how muchI tried to keep him clean. We both had a great time. MIke played the par of Godzilla destroyer of sand castles. My sister and I went body boarding and had a blast.

Swimming and Swinging

On a really hot day Mikey and I go swimming. I think I am in the water more than he is. He enjoys playing with the hose by the pool. He likes to get in the pool every once and awhile to cool off. We had so much fun last week in the water, he really enjoyed when I threw him up and down. I only could do it so many times, my arms began to ache. Then after the pool we stripped him down and he went in the swing completely naked. I don't know if he really enjoyed being naked in the swing.

Micke Grove Zoo

This will be Mikey's second trip to the zoo! We went to the micke grove zoo in Lodi, and he had a lot of fun as always. He sat on a huge turtle statue and ran around imitating all the noises that the monkey's made.

First Trip to Zoo!

Before it got to Hot this Summer my mom and I took Mikey to the Zoo. He had a lot of fun and thought all the animals were called Horse's. He ran all around and really enjoyed himself. There was a little hill that Mikey had the most fun on though he ran up and down and I couldn't get him to go anywhere else.

Our Big Boy

On Fathers Day we gave Mikey a Big Boy haircut! He looked all grown up and so cute. So I just had to take a million pictures of him.

A mess of Nana's spaghetti

I made our Nana's special Sicilian spaghetti because mike was going away to Korea and knew he wouldn't have it for a long time... This is the First time our little Mikey had it and he absolutely devoured it, and made a big mess in the process.

This is a video of Mikey reading to himself. It is one of his favorite books. Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear? He took the book outside, sat on the grass, and started to read his book. it was so very sweet. I am glad Mike got it on video!

Mikey playing with cats

On sunday afternoon Mikey found a piece of plastic from outside and decided it was a good cat toy. He started to play with the cats and it was very cute. Just watch the video!

Mikey loves our backyard! He also likes to throw balls. I took two videos of him walking around our backyard and he chatting up a storm becuase he is so happy :)

Peek-a- Boo

Mikey has now discovered the game of Peek-a-Boo. It is very funny to watch him throw the blanket over his head because sometimes he misses :)

Turning One

Mikey turned one year old on Feb. 22nd, 2008. Mike and I can't believe how fast he grew. We had a circus party for him. The weather was nice outside so all the kids ran around our backyard. Though this party I swear was more fun for me, with all the decorating and baking, I think mikey had some fun too :) He ate cake and tried to open some of his gifts but most of all he loved playing in the backyard with all the kids.

Bath Time

Our cat Buffy watches Mikey everytime he gets in the bath. He thinks it is just great, since he loves her so much :)

Relaxin

For his First Birthday, Mike decided that Mikey needed a big boy chair. So he went out and bought him a spider-man one. He loves to watch Sesame Street in it at night before he goes to bed.

Mikey is walking a little bit

Mikey started to walk the day before Valentines day. He gets very excited and only walks a few steps before he stumbles to the ground. He is getting so big and we just can't believe it.

Chasing the cat

Mikey loves to chase our cat Buffy! He will crawl around the whole house just to get her. When she leaves he gets very upset.

Backyard

This Thanksgiving we had a huge project and enlisted the help of my mom and step dad. We finally finished our backyard. It was really exciting and I am so thankful we had them to help us because it wouldn't of turned out this beautiful! Mikey can't wait to run around in the grass. He is always scooting his way towards the backyard if the screen door is open, or pounding at the window!

Mikey scoots backwards

This was a present from Christmas that Mikey loves. We got it from my Dad and Family :) It converts to a walker but Mikey isn't quit ready for that yet. So he sits and scoots backwards. He was also watching T.V. while he was doing this. Multitasking I guess :)

Our Family Christmas!

This was Mikey's first christmas. Although he didn't really open any presents, he enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper and bows. :) Mikey was spoiled by all his grandparents and by mommy and daddy too. Mike got the game Rockband and I think that's all we played on Christmas day and the day after. Unfortunatly the band had to break up because Nancee, Tim and Natalie had to go home :( We called ourselves the Partridge Family and will be on tour soon :) We had a wonderful christmas and can't wait untill next year when Mikey rips open his presents.
